Peter, the founder of Circle of Life Films, had a bittersweet realisation in his adult years—there was no video footage of his childhood with his siblings. The memories of their laughter, quirks, and shared experiences existed only in conversations with the family. In 2020, this absence inspired Peter to change the narrative for his own family. He began by interviewing his six-year-old son, Orlando, asking a mix of light-hearted and heartfelt questions to capture who Orlando was at that moment in time. Seeing his son’s personality shine on camera, Peter knew he had created something precious—a tradition of preserving life’s unique journeys.

Each year since, Peter has filmed his children to document their growth, shifting perspectives, and changing voices. These videos have become cherished keepsakes, revisited often to laugh, cry, and reflect. For his children, these recordings serve as a time capsule of their childhood—a priceless gift they can carry with them into their adult years.

In 2022, Peter’s grandfather, the heart of their family and connection to their roots, passed away at the age of 97. Thankfully, Peter had filmed an interview with him five years earlier, at the age of 92. In that footage, his grandfather shared the story of his immigration to Australia from Greece, his meeting with Peter’s grandmother, and the wisdom he had gained throughout his life. Watching that video now feels like sitting beside him once again, hearing his voice and feeling his presence. It’s a legacy that Peter and his family will treasure forever.

Since 2009, Peter has worked in videography and photography, capturing meaningful moments at weddings and christenings, as well as projects in real estate and corporate settings. Over the years, he has developed the ability to put anyone at ease in front of the camera—whether it’s someone with no filming experience or a seasoned CEO. Regardless of the setting, Peter’s true passion lies in capturing stories that inspire and move people. He believes there’s something magical about creating films that preserve moments in time—memories that can be revisited for years to come.
